Does this owl go with my dress?

Oh yes last Sunday me and the boy went to Wild Wings for the second time. It was the most amazing experience, the birds are absolutely fascinating and  so beautiful. I feel so honoured to even be able to see them, let alone hold them. The centre do such a wonderful job taking in rescue birds for silly people that get carried away by Harry Potter and think they can look after them! They have Vultures, Hawks, Owls of all kinds, I want to work there... Plus the grounds are beautiful.

This is Nesha, she was very friendly.

Bullet, pretending he is aloof, he so wasn't, he loved to be stroked.

Mumble, an Eagle Owl, absolutely huge, but as soft as anything.

Boo, is my true love, I am convinced, he is a Spectacled Owl and loves to be stroked around his beak!

Gizmo is a naughty little critter but could be my best friend.

 Gizmo pretending he's bored.

This is Buttons, who flipping loved nibbling my fingers, but only softly mind.

 Me and Buttons noseying.

This is Brambles, absolutely beautiful isn't he? So soft and such a calming influence.

Oh my this is Tilly, who has juvenile cataracts, she broke my heart, I wanted to take her home. They are hoping that they can operate soon.

I have such a respect and love for animals, I adore being able to experience something like this. I would thoroughly recommend it if you live in the North West.

P.S. My dress is another addition to my Austrian dress collection. Like you care look at the birds!

  1. What beautiful birds! You are so lucky to have had a chance to get up close to so many. It always saddens me when people buy pets then abandon or mistreat them. It's really great such places exist where the birds can have a new life, but it is still tragic that there is need for such places.

    1. They were so gorgeous, and they have been handled so much that they are very gentle and content being held. But yes it is very sad that these places have to exist xx
