Bygone Times

Today me and Benjamin went to Bygone Times in Chorley an Antiques Centre that my friend at work had recommended. I expected to find a few plates, but not such treasures! The centre is jam packed full of collectables, curios, wicker baskets, plants, crockery, jewellery not to mention a penny arcade! Definitely worth a visit if you live in the North West. We got a lovely gold ornate fire guard to cover up the rather too modern for our liking fire. The lovely lion I just had to get he is just so beautiful, he reminds me of Aslan from Narnia, actually went back in to get him as couldn't get him out my head.

Got this lovely art deco style laundry basket as well.

Oh and Inca was not to be left out she's got her own wicker carrier, she's sussing out.

These chairs are from eBay but just had to share, they are so comfortable and go well with our pink sofa.

Please excuse the scabby carpet, need to see whether we can rip it up and sort out the floorboards! What did you do this weekend, we went and watched Iron Man 3, really enjoyed it I am a major Downey Jr geek.

  2. I love that place - though haven#t been for a while... need to get my skates on and head back over.

That fireguard is beautiful and I'm definitely feeling the reason for going back for Aslan - isn't he a beaut?

  4. I love Inca checking out the lion head - it must have made her very suspicious having a disembodied cat head arrive in her home. And your lovely laundry basket is reminding me that I really need to find one with a bit more class than my current one has!

  7. Such strikingly elegant, timelessly beautiful finds. I really love everything, but think that the wicker pet carrier might just be my very favourite thing - it has such a sweet old-fashioned feel to it.
