Kiss me hard before you go

This was my ensemble for Lana Del Rey on Thursday at Manchester Apollo, me and my sis and friend had been waiting for this gig for what seemed like forever! I decided I wanted to wear a play suit of some sort and won this ASOS number via eBay a few weeks ago. I was going to pair it with a gorgeous pink crop top which I think could be 50's or possibly 60's but it just wouldn't sit right! I am so obsessed with play suits right now, I just wish the weather would co-operate. *Side note check out Johanna's post on summer ensembles of this ilk. The headdress I made with some 99p cherries and floristry tape and wire I ended up swapping the shoes for my Golden Ponies Mary Janes as they are lot lower!

Lana was positively dreamy, her voice was heavenly and she was very smiley and sweet. She held my sister's hand (she is never going to wash again). The set was way too short for my liking, as she spent ten minutes signing and hugging fans at the front, I would of preferred three more songs but you can tell she adores her fans. I must admit that unfortunately the audience was one of the bitchiest, aggressive I've ever witnessed, and I have been in circle pits watching the likes of Slipknot, so I am no pussy. But whatever it was still very special.

Also I think I am sartorially psychic as I always try and predict what my favourite musicians are going to wear and I was bang on with Lana's white babydoll 1960's number. Excuse the blurry shot I am not a fan of watching gigs through my phone.

My beautiful friend Claire, who is currently in the midst of renovating a gorgeous Victorian house! We like Victorian homes.

Inca was not impressed we weren't taking her.

My gorgeous sister Amy, rocking her floaty black number and leopard heels, which she has had repaired so many times as she walks like John Wayne.

Note the line of lipstick on my chin, never fail to do that when I eat.

We headed to Luck Lust Liqor and Burn for a pre Lana gorge, the burittos are fricking heavenly I actually wana live in one. If you live in Manchester you must go.

Hope you have a beautiful weekend

How lovely to have an evening with the sultry, honey voiced Lana and your gorgeous sister! I'm sure Inca would have made a great stole...and then she would have stolen the show...BOOM BOOM.......
    Ahem.
Mexican food rocks my panties off. A perfect way to start the evening.
You've seen Slipknot?! Ooo, they give me the creeps! I'm so over mosh pits these days, just too old for that vigorous thrashing about!

  9. You lucky lucky lady! You looked abslolutely gorgeous, I bet Lana would have been jeals of that playsuit! I can't believe it's ASOS! I'm so happy to know that she is as lovely as I imagine her to be. I wish she had held my hand... one day. ;-) Such a shame about the bitchy crowd, I can't imagne what the London gigs must have been like then. They are usually the worst. xxx
