So every winter I think right I am going to buy a decent coat, lots of tights and a good pair of boots. Do I ever do this? Do I buy ball gowns on eBay instead because they are cheaper and prettier, yeah yeah I do. So I am hoping that if I start pulling together all the pieces I want, I may actually invest my pennies in something practical and pretty! Doubtful, until then here some purty pictures of dreamy things I would like.
Floor length polka dot dress
Floral day dress
Pink oversized coat
Lilac dress
Cape
Circle skirt
What are you going to invest in this winter/summer?

What a inspiration. I dont like winter :(, must find new nice coats :)
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of winter but not the reality of defrosting my car in the early hours!
DeleteFrocks, frocks and MORE frocks! O, and I need some more capes, of course!
ReplyDeleteI love your inspirations...those Ulyana Sergenko (or however it's bloody spelt) skirts are heavenly, I love her work, and those first two pix have me mentally going through my wardrobe, planning tomorrows outfit......XXX
God me too, I just have so many impractical items, need lots of cotton dresses. Glad the pics inspired your look divine lady! xx
DeleteFirst pic *swoon* So inspiring! Autumn/Winter fashion does wonders for me.
ReplyDeleteI know I need that dress
DeleteHeck yes to that pink coat!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf you find one like it tell me!!
DeleteInvest? ummmm, probably not...but I DO seem to be finding things lately when I really dont need them. Luckily, I have been burnt enough in the past to buy them anyway. I recently found a floor length black wool cape with a fur trimmed hood. LOVE IT!!! Bought it when it was 92 degrees F outside. Its hiding in my closet until winter.
ReplyDeleteThat cape sounds amazing, would love to have that hot weather!
DeleteSo very true - sometimes I tend to skirt around purchasing what I truly need, and focus instead on the various vintage pretties that I totally want instead. This year I've been a fairly good lass on that front however, and even began thinking about my winter wardrobe as far back as last spring. Some items I've added to it already that I really needed include a couple of new vintage suits, as well as a lighter weight coat for fall. On the hunt though remains vintage ski/snow wear (pants, jacket, boots, etc), more heavy weight skirts, and perhaps a new winter hat or two.

Glad I am not the only one, you sound very organised! Oh my vintage ski wear is too adorable! xx
DeleteI totally understand what you mean. This past year I've started making a list of items that I need/want for whatever season is approaching and I've found I actually get them. This fall I'm really looking for more 30's knit wear. I'm hoping I'll luck out at the local flea market the next few months.
