In the navy

Well this is the ensemble I wore on Friday, but my internet is being a twat, so it takes about four hours (no joke) to load the pictures...yeah they are totally worth it?! Any who, it's dressed down at work on a Friday, so I channelled my inner Smee and Jean Paul Gaultier sailor/Pirate. I ruddy love a good striped top, and this is a man's vintage one from Paris, and the trousers are an eBay find, I love wearing braces (I need them on my teeth). But, seriously do my earrings look big in this? I had been pining for some tacky gold earrings and I found them aren't they awfully pirate like?

Smee!!

Oh what's up my sleeve? a sandwich? Vintage kimono £8, delightful

Vintage pea coat my sister gave me, as she said it felt dirty, I am all game for wearing other people's smells.

  3. Oh you look braw! I love it! I loved it when you wore this top before, it looks perfect, very Parisian sailor! Doh! It is from a Parisian Sailor, see PERFECT! :) People get so offended by certain 'old' smells when really, most of the time, it's fine! Or maybe I have a bad nose! :) Zoë x

    1. Oh thanks my lovely, Parisian sailor chic, what can I say! Yeah I think I get blinded by my love for vintage clothes or should I say my nose ignores the odd smells aha xx

  4. You just made my afternoon! How awesome to use Smee as a fashion inspiration. Plus, your tacky gold hoops are rather fabulous and I love a good Breton stripe tee.

P.S. Do you find as you get older that Captain Hook becomes a more and more sympathetic character? That Peter Pan is an irresponsible pain in the ass. I guess I'll never make it to Neverland now...

    1. That is so lovely of you to say, my deranged taste in clothes makes someone happy aha. See I have always routed for the bad guy in Disney films, I am a bit twisted really? Peter has always got on my nerves though, think it had something to do with a boy I used to like at school he was called Peter and he ignored me, what a moron, he did not wear tights though... xx

  8. Oh Hannah I do love you! Your posts always make me smile and I think we think in the same way when we get dressed in the morning. My outifts are always put together based n the many clips and images like these that are stored up in my overly cluttered brain. Oh Maureen O Hara what a mega babe, as are you in those earrings... HOT! I probably don't need to mention that I am jealous of your kimono too. xxx

    1. Aaaw Kelly thank you, I feel like we would of been pen pals before the internet ahah. I am so glad I am not the only who is inspired by random things whittling through my brain. I tend to get dressed after I have looked through pictures or watched a film, I do not like reality can you tell? I thought of you when I was wearing it, you rock Kimonos to the Kass bar! xxx

O,I think you would enjoy Anne Rice's novels, she's written shitloads!Plus some soft pron under an assumed name. And you might also like Poppy Z Brite, another New Orleans based writer, who is rather macabre.I don't think she's put anything out for ages, but her "Swamp Foetus" short stores are amazing!XXX
