Gorgeousness

Thought I would share some more housepiration pictures, I am immensely enjoying daydreaming about how to decorate. Not that we have a house yet! The bed on the last picture I am desperate to find a version of,  so if you happen to stumble upon one do let me know. Really pining for some lace curtains, which I would probably pull down and make into a dress a la Scarlett O'Hara, that is all.

Majority of images via here and here and The Selby.

  1. The keys and the skull telephone stood out to me. Also, the house looks a bit like the one used in Psycho! Fab images

    Your inner decorator is dreamy!
Just the ticket for me;I've been depressed for 2 days about the state of my ghastly sewing/dressing room. I needed to see some pretty!

You need to revamp it! I am sure you will turn into a sheer haven for sewing soon.

  5. Love the photograph of the house. Are there a lot of Queen Anne-style houses (or at least what we call "Queen Anne" in America which has nothing to do with the actual Queen Anne) in England? I generally think of the style as American and Canadian!

If you like Victorian Gothic (which I'm guessing you do!) you need to save up to cross the pond and visit Eureka Springs, Arkansas. We used to go there all the time with my grandparents when I was a kid. Practically the entire town is Victorian and it has covered sidewalks and is built into the Ozark mountains. One of the hotels is supposedly haunted, as well. My friend Heather did a blog post about it not too long ago: http://audreyeclectic.blogspot.com/2011/10/october-jaunt.html

    1. I have never seen any here, which is most unfortunate, they are my dream houses, ever since watching programmes like the Munsters and the Addams Family.

Would love to see such a place sounds magical (and from the blog) looks it, right up my street! Wish houses were like this these days. I do dream of being able to save up for a trip such as that, sigh xxx
