Chinoiserie Chatsworth

A few weeks ago me and Ben went to Chatsworth now we had been at Christmas but only to the markets, as it was jammed pack. We set off early on a dreary Friday and arrived rather hungry so we tootled to the little cafe where they stocked my favourite drinks Fentimans oh yes.

The entry to the garden and house is rather steep at £20 each but I would thoroughly recommend it, especially if you opt for gift aid you get a £5 voucher to use in the shops or farmshop! The gardens alone are simply breathtaking, 

This was by far my favourite part of the gardens the blue little bridge was just so pretty, especially with that gorgeous backdrop.

Not sure what my hair is doing here thought I looked ethereal instead of deranged aha, I am wearing my gorgeous Edwardian dress and my absolute bestest 1940s Chinese jacket, oh and my divinely creepy skeltos claw necklace.

What are these two tiered flowers? They are so pretty.

This was my favourite view by far, the British countryside makes my heart sing.

Georgiana Cavendish, I didn't know this portrait had been stolen and was missing from Chatsworth for some 200 years.

Oh my little heart was a flutter with this room, the Chinoiserie wallpaper was just so heavenly, I had to buy a wrapping paper version of it from the gift shop, may have to line some drawers!

This just reminded me of the TV series Hannibal, which I adore! Must have been the antlers

O' Sailor Why'd You Do It ?

I have always had a fascination with the sea and anything related i.e. sailors, mermaids, wooden ships, hidden treasure. So why not dress like a sailor? The jumper is from topshop and the dress worn as a skirt is h&m. This ensemble was a hit with the elderly a few weekends ago when I wore it, one lady went to stroke my arm when I was wearing this...

Boo thank flip its Friday! Three day weekend for us in the UK! What are your plans? I am going to Bolton Food and Drink Festival, so I am going to over eat, that's a good plan right? 

This was my outfit for work today its a 1990s dress wanting to be 1940s with my vintage jacket and faux fur and my bestest favourite shoes in the world, if you ever see a pair like it please let me know as I need replacements! As when these ones go I am going to refuse to wear shoes. 

Dance whilst the sky crashes down

Hello there how are we? have you had a nice weekend? Or did you blink and miss it like me? My weekend has been filled with mostly bike riding and eating too much. Oh and wandering round dressed as a Victorian child, wearing my sisters ridiculously heavy hair extensions. All though right now I want a bob, so very fickle. 

The jacket was a purchase from the Vintage Village in Stockport bargain at £10, the dress is an old Topshop one, I want a long version. The shoes are new from New Look, lolz, been after a pair like these since my last pair cracked whilst walking too much in Berlin. Scarab necklace was a lovely gift from my boy. Oh and the coat was also £10 from Vintage Village, I always get lucky there.

This is not my sexy face, its I can't see because of the sun and I don't want my neighbours to see me posing in my garden like a nutter, just so you don't get confused.
