Say hello to Ada

Hello there! Is anyone left harhar. I'm a terrible blogger! Me and Benji decided Inca needs a new friend, we were pining for a black rex so I popped an email to the lovely breeder we got Inca from to please let us know when another litter was due and she happened to have one tiny smoke left who was the only one to survive in her litter, poor little mites. So last weekend we made the drive up the winding hills to Derbyshire and met our little baba, we will hopefully get her on Valentine's all being well, isn't she a beauty?

Inca with her beautiful Mama Purdy, she is such a sweet natured lady and very protective of her little baby, I wish we could take her home with us too!

Christmas Film: Bell Book and Candle

One of my all time favourite films, as it involves witches, Christmas, Jack Lemmon, leopard print, a cat and the divine Kim Novak. I know I have posted about it before but that was for Halloween, you know a film is good when it can cross over from Halloween to Christmas. 

The clothes are just so fricking gorgeous, the backless red velvet dress is my favourite.

An update from Inca

 So our little baba is growing everyday, she is getting more independent now, but still loves snuggling whenever possible. She loves playing amongst the lace curtains, girl after my own heart.

Say hello to Inca

Say hello to our beautiful Devon Rex kitten, Inca. We collected her on Friday night after visiting her and her mummy the weekend previous. My daydream of a 'prerequisite' for a cat was one that sits on my shoulder, a la Pyewacket in Bell Book and Candle, so when I read up on Rexs and discovered that that was one of their traits, not to mention that they are like monkeys in cat suits and have a very canine personality, you can imagine I was quite excited about the prospect of being lucky enough to own one. The breeders are absolutely lovely and you can tell she has come from a loving home, they were located in Chesterfield, so the journey there was nice and scenic. Inca is so mischievous and loving, and I am completely and utterly besotted, I am struggling to leave the house now. You will be pleased to know this little treasure loves nothing more than sitting on our shoulders or head, normally when we are cooking!
