Happy New Year beautiful people! So as you do I decided to dress as a showgirl in some recent new to me 1940's ruffled under crackers with fishnets enough glitter to make me feel like I am hallucinating.
I am now cosy on my sofa watching films with my niece sister and Benji, hope you are having a wonderful time!

Glitter & Bill Bailey

On Saturday me and Ben took my Dad to see Bill Bailey, now my dad is easily amused let say so seeing Bill was just down right side splitting, he absolutely loved it. I think I have seen Bill Bailey about 5 or so times now, I love him, he references slayer, owls and rammstein, so how can I not? I had been listening to Grimes and Bat for Lashes getting ready so went for a glitter femme fatale, hippy look. Something about listening to Bat for Lashes makes me want to quit work wear ball gowns and paint. Soz about the limp hair it was about 11pm when I took these poseur snaps. Just had to share my lovely dress, that Benji got me for my birthday.

Candy Canes, Snow Globes, Swans and Glitter

Thought I would share a few Christmas snapshots from around the house. My aspiration for a candy covered pink tree came true, it was a ruddy bargain for £8 from Wilkinson's. My room now stinks of popcorn after painstakingly making a garland, the lovely did most of it though!

This snow globe I have had since I was about 8, it plays Santa Claus is Coming to Town, it can lull me into a state of dreamy nostalgia within 5 seconds of hearing it.

The gorgeous fairy costume is for my boyfriend's niece, unfortunately they do not go up to my size, drat.

Hello little deer!

Ooh Caitlin Shearer art amongst my tree, it is a tattoo, but I want to keep it forever!

My new favourite Swan!

Because I have a black heart, home made cobweb, but it is bejewelled so fits right in.

Paper angel made by a very clever friend in work.

These cards from Sesame and Lily are gorgeous!

Are you getting excited for Christmas? I am looking forward to a week off hurray.

You're the glitter in the dark

So a few weeks ago I went and saw the eerily beautiful sounds of Bat for Lashes. Which gave me a perfect opportunity to dress like Miss Havisham on an LSD trip. Initially, I was going to wear the 1930s pale blue lace number but got rather worried that it might rip. Truth be told I rarely worry about my clothes, even my very old ones, but this one is so delicate I did not want to chance it.

So I wore the ice skater hooker dress from Topshop.

The gig was amazing, it was at Manchester Cathedral, so it was a perfect venue for Natasha Khan. To my dismay hardly anyone seemed to be dolled up in the audience, and me my boyfriend seemed to be standing out like sore thumbs as we were towering over everyone, jeez don't say I am getting to old for gigs?!

This is a first for my blog, me sitting down, I am such a fricking fidget, this rarely happens.

Final thought, let's take a moment to appreciate Natasha's awesome style.
