Love you to death

Happy Valentines beautiful people I do hope you had a lovely day spent with your loved ones. I am wearing a new to me 1950s dress it is an absolute dream and cost only £5! I spent the day with my love Ben, we over ate and played with my new record player. He spoilt me rotten- a Crosley record player, Skeletos necklace, What Katie Did Bra and a Guillermo Del Toro book!!

We also went record shopping this afternoon got everything from Madonna to Beethoven.

1950s Novelty Print aka Heaven

Say hello to my dream dress, 1950's Egyptian novelty print I knew she had to be mine. I am always searching on eBay for vintage Egyptian curios and clothes, not since I lost out on bidding on a Victorian black net pyramid skirt have I got this giddy, hey it may be two sizes too big, but without the belt its more 1920's Egyptian revival, so what the hell. Sorry about the messy hair, if you follow me on twitter you will know I was having a hair dilemma debating whether to chop it off, dye it etc. Being a Gemini I have now decided to just get a good trim, until I see someone with a fabulous bob that is.

Hope you having a beautiful week!

This ol' thing?

Hello there lovelies, how the devil are you? Hope November is treating you well. Had to share my ensemble from yesterday me and Ben had the day off so we did mostly bugger all, which was lovely. The polka dot dress is new from the Vintage Village an absolute bargain at £5 from my favourite seller Greta Garbo Antiques. I also got the old jar above and some beautiful vintage St Michael dresses for Lola to grow into.

Hope you appreciate the floorboards they are way orange-r than I wanted, but better than the poo carpet that was down, just need to get rid of the contemporary fireplace now!

 I cannot dress myself clearly...
Have a wonderful week

dream dress

I had this dress on my favourites on etsy for ages and then it disappeared, I nearly wept as I wanted to wear it for an upcoming wedding. It was just something about the soft powder blue and lace that had me weak at the knees. Thankfully the listing had just expired, so after days of pondering I finally bought it. I buy a lot of clothes but I never spend over £30 on one piece without deep consideration! *Side note* totally had to pay £31 in custom charges so was even more boo.

Any who I wore it for Ben's sister's wedding on Friday, which was such a lovely day, especially as my man and his twin brother walked her down the aisle. Me and strapless dresses are not friends, it was the first time I've ever worn a strapless bra, but I still felt rather glamourous despite the paranoia I'd do a Judy Finnegan. I swear I need to start my own lingerie company for all sized women, who knew it was so hard to find a pretty strapless bra?! I paired my dream dress with some good ol' Matalan black heels, my starfish handbag, a pair of spider earrings - as I cannot resist a dash of the macabre and a Spanish gold necklace that I kept draping on my back, I once saw Nicole Kidman do that so though what the hell? why not.

Terrible shot of me outside, me and natural light do not mix, my hair was beautifully set until I went out, how do you fellow ladies keep your pin set to stay in? I had to sweep it up in the evening as I looked like a drowned rat. But wanted to show my ensemble in its full glory heh.

Ice cream you scream

On Tuesday it was Ben's birthday so like any normal 29 year old he wanted to go to the Cheshire Ice Cream Farm, we were the only adults there without children aha, but it was god damn good ice cream, my favourite was liquorice & blackcurrant. I wore a newly acquired blue velvet dress which I got for £4.50, I did have to shallow breath in it, as the belt was way too tight, the things I do for a pretty dress?!

Ben wearing his new koi fish jumper, I want it!

Don't mind me pretending I'm in a 1950's B-movie

I made the Nigella Lawson Chocolate Guinness cake for Ben, boy is it yummy!

Happy New Year!!

Hello pretties hope you are having a wonderful New Year's Eve. I am watching films with my boy (J Edgar Hoover), hopefully next year we will have a house so I can throw a masked ball. What did you get up to? Do you have any resolutions? I don't think I have ever used exclamation marks in a title before, I am so provocative.
