The Wallace Collection

We paid a visit to the Wallace Collection when we stayed in London last month, and boy did it make my little heart flutter, opulent furniture far as the eye could see, and it's free entry. We also visited the Soane and The Hunterian museums, I absolutely adored Sir John Soane's converted home, it was a treasure trove.

Would like to add this suite to our house!

Couple of snaps from the V&A before Ben informed me I wasn't supposed to be taking pictures in this part! I'm a sucker for Asian vintage fashion.

Time spent with cats is never wasted

On Saturday I wore a dress a lovely generous friend at work gave me, I love anything with dramatic sleeves, makes me feel very elegant and witchy. I did a faux bob which being a fickle sod stops me from reaching for the scissors, for now. Me and Inca are in the spare room, I want to get rid of the big bed and replace it with a little daybed, don't think my sisters will be too impressed as they would have no where to sleep when they stay, uumm family or more space for my shoes, decisions are hard...Also have some gorgeous dark bird print wallpaper eyed up for in here.

Saturday consisted of charity shop hunting,  (hit the jackpot will share later this week) an ice cream parlour and Inca cuddles was rather idyllic! What did you do at the weekend?

I need to put some more holes in the wall for the rest of my hats!
Yeah I am kissing my hats, that's okay right?

Spot Inca on the top of the wardrobe!

Had to share my jewels I got for £2.98 on Saturday!

Dusty Pink Sofa and Flowers

So I am dressing like it's Spring, on Saturday I purchased this fabulously flowery Laura Ashley 1980's skirt, it has buttons and pockets, win win and it was £4.50.

We also bought the rest of our 'necessary' furniture, the pièce de résistance you may have already seen if you follow me on instagram, a dusty pink antique sofa I found it on eBay and put in a best offer, then realised the location of the seller's warehouse wasn't far away. So we drove down on Sunday and ended up buying two wardrobes, two bedside cabinets and a bookcase as well as the sofa for bargain price! This time next week is the big move, I can barely concentrate, I am excited and a little scared of finally being an actual grown up, a grown up who has asked if it's okay if we make dens, stay up all night and watch films and turn the cellar into a cinema. I still need to finish packing!

Four more work days to go!
